Interesting take on a 3D display. Sadly, I've never been intrigued by the idea of a typical 3D television as I already wear glasses - adding another pair typically isn't ideal and going to watch a movie at the theater in 3D never worked for me.

Of course, that isn't much of a factor with the 3DS, thankfully. Although I usually keep the 3D slider almost all the way down - I can definitely appreciate the boost in visual fidelity by the doubling of the effective screen resolution.

Anyway, thanks for posting, and I look forward to reading more. By the way, do you have room for one more friend on your 3DS? My code is 0130-1813-2487.

Hey Craig!
I had recently got my 3D tv too, 46 led Samsung with active glasses, and I’ve got to say that i don use 3D that much... even when i watch movies on it. And i really don’t like how games look in 3D, the resolution becomes so low, that games looks just bad and sometimes its really hard to focus my eyes. PS3 does a much better job with 3D than 360, Gears 3 looks awful with it, so many jaggis!
I actually was impressed with "2D in 3D" feature, its not actually pops out from the screen but creates depth really well, and with motion+ movies does look nice. But do not tern on "motion smoothing" in games!
